SREC Fathers Club is doing a fundraiser in conjunction with the Oakland A’s!

You and your friends and family can buy tickets to select A’s games, with SREC Fathers Club getting 50% of the ticket price for each ticket sold.

Tickets are available for the following games:

Saturday, May 18^th vs. Kansas City 6:05 PM -
Charter High School Night!

DID YOU KNOW: The A’s played in Kansas City between 1955 and 1967 when they moved to Oakland. Kansas City was awarded an expansion team by Major League Baseball in large part because the A’s left for Oakland.

Friday, May 31^st vs. Chicago White Sox 7:05 PM

DID YOU KNOW: Tony LaRussa managed both the White Sox and the A’s in the 1980s, winning AL West titles with both teams.

Sunday, June 16^th vs. Seattle 1:05 PM - First 10,000 fans get a Grant Balfour Ragin’ Gnome!

DID YOU KNOW: Rick Honeycutt, a left-handed pitcher, was one of the original Seattle Mariners in 1977. He later pitched in three World Series with the A’s (1988-1990)

Sunday, August 4^th vs. Texas 1:05 PM

DID YOU KNOW: Billy Martin, best known as a player and manager for the Yankees, managed both the A’s (1980-82) and the Rangers (1973-75), taking both teams to the playoffs.

Fathers & Community,

I was there tonight taking tickets and I have never seen so many beautiful young ladies with their proud DADs and or escorts. They had smiles on their face that stretched from ear to ear! Desserts that people were bringing in were incredible!!! Happy faces were everywhere. I saw little ones from Ms. Catherine’s and Ms Jodies class all the way up to the middle school. In fact I saw more middle schoolers’ there then I have ever before. Not only did we have many kids from the Charter school we may have had several families from outside the community. I know for a fact that we even had a Father with his incredibly beautiful daughter who happens to be the grand daughter of our ex Board president.

This was by far the most successful Dance that the “Father Club” has put on. As of Friday morning I had taken home 25 tickets sales! That was pretty good. But you know what?? We had 23 walk ups at the door between 6:00-7:00 pm tonight. That is incredible!! That means that the take was about $1,350.00 dollars. Not bad for something that was never meant to be a fundraiser!!!

Thanks to all the Fathers Club Members!!!!!!!! We cleaned and set up decorations on Friday night and then were back at it on Saturday morning and afternoon finishing in time to go home and get ready to take the dates out to dinner before the big dance.

Fathers & Community members please take the time to reach out to anyone that you know who showed up and thank them for coming. Without the support of the community we would not be able to put on this fabulous event . The 5th year is in the books!! Now the Fathers club is getting ready to support the Parents club with our next big event. Our biggest annual fundraiser of the year.
