What/Who is the Fathers Club?
SREC Dads (aka “The Fathers Club”) is a support organization composed of fathers and male guardians of the students of Santa Rosa Education Cooperative (aka Santa Rosa Charter School). SREC Dads is a branch of the SREC Parents Club, a registered 501(c)3 organization. All funds generated by Fathers Club events are for the benefit of the students of Santa Rosa Charter School and for SREC School campus projects.
Our mission is to support our students in a spirit of volunteerism in various events held throughout the year—providing our time and talents in support of various fund-raising and social events.
We believe our active involvement sets a positive example to our kids about the importance of volunteering and community service.
We hold meetings once each month throughout the academic year to plan events and fundraisers, listen to guest speakers and connect with other involved fathers.
What we do:
We host a guest speaker once a month throughout the school year, and we plan and organize our efforts to bring you fun and interesting events like:
* Fathers’ Welcome BBQ
* “Sports Night” Fundraiser
* Community Service Projects
* Tahoe Ski Trip
* Father / Daughter Dance
* Annual Golf Tournament
…and other events that will be announced during the year!
Who pays for it?
Donations to the school typically help defray extra school expenses, and in the past have been used for school computer hardware, software, un-budgeted athletic equipment and other constructive uses to aid the school and students.
